The short version
Closest in style: Parfums de Marly Delina. Reviewers compare the two more than any other pair, and most describe Lust in Paradise as the softer, more transparent one.
Lighter and dewier: Delina La Rosée. Same house: Ex Nihilo Fleur Narcotique.
Deeper and sweeter: Delina Exclusif or BDK Impadia. These are looser matches, and we explain why below.
Lust in Paradise Extrait is a different perfume from the 2019 eau de parfum, not just a stronger copy. Sample both before you spend on either.
Ex Nihilo Lust in Paradise is one of the most compared floral perfumes right now, largely because of its price. The 50 ml eau de parfum lists at about $245 at The Webster4, and the Extrait costs $490 for 100 ml on Ex Nihilo's own US store2. So people go looking for something close.
We checked what independent wearers and makers actually say, ranked the options by how strong the evidence is, and noted where each one falls short. All data and prices were checked on October 30, 2026.
Among original perfumes, Parfums de Marly Delina is the one reviewers compare to Lust in Paradise most often. It shares the lychee-and-peony character but is richer, tarter and louder. Delina La Rosée is the lighter, dewier alternative, and Fleur Narcotique is the option from the same house.
A word on "dupe". Online it can mean a similar-smelling original or a look-alike copy of someone else's perfume. This guide covers only original perfumes from established houses that sit in a similar style. None is an exact match, and we say so each time.

How we chose these perfumes
We used three kinds of evidence. First, community data on Parfumo: the list of perfumes it marks as similar to Lust in Paradise, the list of perfumes that fans of it also like, and written reviews1. Second, the notes lists published by the houses and by retailers. Third, independent retailer and reviewer comparisons.
The labels mean this. Strong: the perfume appears in community similarity data and reviewers compare it directly. Moderate: it overlaps in community data and in listed notes, but the character differs in important ways. Looser: the match rests mostly on roundups and a shared mood, and we could not confirm it in community data.
We did not rank by what we sell. Parfumo's similar list also includes inspired-by products from other brands, and we left those out on purpose. Scores below are community opinions, and wear time depends on your skin and the weather.
What does Lust in Paradise smell like, and how does it perform?
Lust in Paradise is an Ex Nihilo eau de parfum from 2019, composed by Louise Turner, and part of the house's Les Interdites collection1. The listed notes are pink pepper at the top, white peony and lychee in the heart, and white cedar, musk and amber underneath5. The house describes a dreamlike French Riviera floral, with cedar and musk meant to feel like sun-warmed skin.
Wearers describe an airy, soft, slightly powdery floral. One Parfumo reviewer calls it pink chiffon1. Another reviewer notices a clean, soapy musk building in the dry-down17. Not everyone agrees on the lychee: one reviewer found it more musky and peppery than juicy on their skin1. Two reviewers say it lasts all day on clothes even when the skin trail fades after the first hour or two1.
8.0 / 10Overall score on Parfumo, from 462 ratings
7.9 / 10Longevity, from 381 ratings
7.4 / 10Sillage, from 378 ratings
6.3 / 10Value for money, from 280 ratings
The pattern is clear. Parfumo members love the scent and rate its wear time well, but they score value for money far lower than anything else, which is why so many people shop for alternatives1. If wear time is your main worry, our guide to making perfume last longer covers what actually helps.
Eau de parfum vs Extrait: not the same perfume
Fragrantica lists the Extrait as a 2026 release3. It keeps Louise Turner as perfumer but changes the recipe. Ex Nihilo's notes for the Extrait are blackcurrant, pink pepper, Rosyfolia and red ginger, then Petalia, rose absolute and jasmine sambac, over akigalawood, cedarwood, Ambrofix and musks2. There is no peony or lychee in that list. The house describes it as more intense and spiced, with the glow of a Riviera sunset.
So if you loved the airy original, do not assume the Extrait is the same thing with more power. Sample the two side by side. For background on concentrations, see our guide to eau de parfum vs eau de toilette.

The five alternatives, one by one
1. Parfums de Marly Delina
Quentin Bisch, 2017 | Evidence: Strong
Delina opens with lychee, rhubarb, bergamot and nutmeg, then moves to Turkish rose, peony, musk, Petalia and vanilla over cashmeran, incense, cedar and Haitian vetiver6. It is the perfume reviewers reach for first when they describe Lust in Paradise.
Shared ground: a lychee-and-peony floral heart and a soft, musky finish. Parfumo lists Delina among the perfumes that Lust in Paradise fans also like1, and a Luckyscent reviewer jokes that it is what you would get if Delina and Chloé had a child15.
Where it differs: Delina is tarter, because of the rhubarb, and louder. One Parfumo reviewer compares Delina to thick pink satin and Lust in Paradise to chiffon in the same shade1. Delina also brings vanilla, incense and cashmeran that the listed notes for Lust in Paradise do not have. Another Parfumo reviewer prefers Lust in Paradise outright.
Choose it if you like the idea of Lust in Paradise but want more presence.
2. Parfums de Marly Delina La Rosée
Quentin Bisch, 2021 | Evidence: Strong
La Rosée opens with lychee, pear and bergamot, then Turkish rose, peony and watery notes, over white musk, woody notes and Haitian vetiver7. A retailer summary calls it a lighter, fresher version of the original Delina8.
Shared ground: lychee, peony and white musk, in a clean and airy setting. Parfumo includes La Rosée in its list of perfumes similar to Lust in Paradise1, and one reviewer there says it is quite similar to La Rosée.
Where it differs: La Rosée leans more toward rose and water, with less of the cedar-and-amber warmth. Reported wear time varies a lot by source, so test it on your own skin.
Choose it if you want the dewy, transparent side of the idea.
3. Ex Nihilo Fleur Narcotique
Quentin Bisch, 2014 | Evidence: Moderate
Fleur Narcotique is the house's own lychee-and-peony floral. Its notes are bergamot, lychee and peach, then peony, orange blossom and jasmine, over woods, oakmoss and musk11. A retailer lists moderate sillage and about six to eight hours of wear12. The Extrait version from 2022 adds osmanthus and freesia16.
Shared ground: lychee, peony and musk, plus the same house style. Parfumo ranks it first among perfumes that Lust in Paradise fans also like1.
Where it differs: based on the listed notes, it is brighter and more white-floral, with peach, orange blossom and jasmine, and less of the cedar-and-amber base.
Choose it if lychee and peony are what you love and the cedar and skin-like musk matter less.
4. Parfums de Marly Delina Exclusif
Quentin Bisch, 2018 | Evidence: Moderate
Exclusif keeps the lychee, pear and bergamot opening, then moves to Turkish rose, agarwood and incense over vanilla, amber and woods910.
Shared ground: the fruity lychee opening and a rosy floral core. Parfumo also lists it among perfumes that Lust in Paradise fans like1.
Where it differs: it is much richer, with oud, incense and vanilla. It is closer to an evening perfume than an airy daytime one.
Choose it if you like Lust in Paradise's opening but want something warmer and sweeter.
Impadia opens with pear, bergamot and mandarin, then Bulgarian rose, Turkish rose and orange flower, over akigalawood, vanilla absolute and sandalwood13. It was created with Givaudan14.
Shared ground: a bright, fruit-lifted opening and a soft floral heart. It turns up in other roundups of Lust in Paradise alternatives.
Where it differs: it is rose-led, with no peony or lychee in the listed notes, and it ends on vanilla rather than cedar and musk. We could not find it in Parfumo's similar or also-liked lists for Lust in Paradise, which is why we rate it a looser match.
Choose it if you like the polished, rosy side of the style and want something with more vanilla warmth.
Which one should you pick?
You want the same mood with more presence: Delina.
You want it lighter and dewier: Delina La Rosée.
You love lychee and peony and want brighter white florals: Fleur Narcotique.
You want something warmer for the evening: Delina Exclusif, Impadia, or the Lust in Paradise Extrait itself.
You are not sure what you like: sample two or three before buying any bottle. If the label "floral fruity" versus "floral woody musk" is unclear, our fragrance families guide explains the difference.
How to test them before buying a full bottle
Every comparison above is a group of opinions. The most reliable test is a full day on your own skin.
Day one, the original. Wear Lust in Paradise from a counter tester or a decant. Note what is left after four hours.
One alternative per day. Use the same spot each time and skip other scented products.
Check three times. Smell it at one hour, at four hours and the next morning. Several of these change a lot between the opening and the dry-down.
Try fabric too. Reviewers report longer wear on clothes. Spray a hidden spot of a scarf or sleeve and compare. Test a hidden spot first so delicate fabric is not marked.
Judge the dry-down. The opening is what a perfume does for the first ten minutes. The dry-down is what you live with.
We carry the three Delina perfumes as 1.5 ml vials while stock lasts, around $13 for all three at current prices (checked October 30, 2026). Browse more in our Samples & Testers and Eau de Parfum collections.

FAQ
Your questions, answered
What is the best Lust in Paradise dupe?
Among original perfumes, Parfums de Marly Delina is the one reviewers compare it to most. It shares the lychee-and-peony character but is richer, tarter and louder. For something lighter and dewier try Delina La Rosée, and for a same-house option try Ex Nihilo Fleur Narcotique. None is an exact match, so sample before buying.
Is Lust in Paradise similar to Delina?
Partly. Both are lychee-and-peony florals, and Parfumo lists Delina among the perfumes that Lust in Paradise fans also like. Reviewers say Lust in Paradise is softer and more transparent, without Delina's rhubarb tartness, and that it projects less. Some wearers find the two quite different, so test both.
What does Lust in Paradise smell like?
It opens with pink pepper, moves into white peony and lychee, and dries down to white cedar, musk and amber. Reviewers describe an airy, soft, slightly powdery floral, and some notice a clean, soapy musk as it settles.
What is the difference between Lust in Paradise and the Extrait?
The eau de parfum dates from 2019 and is led by peony and lychee. The Extrait, listed by Fragrantica as a 2026 release, uses blackcurrant, red ginger, rose absolute and jasmine sambac over akigalawood, cedarwood, Ambrofix and musks. It is warmer and spicier, so treat it as a different perfume rather than a stronger copy.
How long does Lust in Paradise last?
Parfumo members rate its longevity 7.9 out of 10 and its sillage 7.4 out of 10. Individual reviewers report roughly seven hours on skin, with a softer trail after the first hour or two and longer wear on clothes. Skin type and weather change the result.
How much does Lust in Paradise cost?
At the time of writing, the 50 ml eau de parfum lists at about $245 at The Webster, and the 100 ml Extrait costs $490 on Ex Nihilo's US store. Retail prices change, so check current listings.
Is Delina La Rosée closer to Lust in Paradise than Delina?
It depends what you want. Delina La Rosée is lighter, dewier and more watery, and it appears on Parfumo's similar list for Lust in Paradise. The original Delina shares more of the lychee-and-peony sweetness and has stronger projection.
Is Lust in Paradise worth the price?
That is a personal call. Parfumo members score it 8.0 out of 10 overall but only 6.3 out of 10 for value for money, so many fans love the scent while finding the price high. Trying a sample first is the safest way to decide.
Can I try these perfumes before buying a full bottle?
Yes. Sample vials let you wear each perfume for a full day. We carry Parfums de Marly Delina, Delina La Rosée and Delina Exclusif in 1.5 ml vials while stock lasts, and our Samples & Testers collection has more.
